The Hails Get Back To Work In Video For New Single “Corruptor”

As part of the announcement of their sophomore album Duckpond (October 23rd via ONErpm) The Hails have released the new single Corruptor. While the video, which was directed by Steven Konnovitch x Cultivision, continues the band’s narrative of being pinsetters at a bowling alley, the song itself was inspired by wanting to live in a utopia.

“The lyrics were written in one fell swoop on the final day of recording after a tiff with my girlfriend (now fiancé) about how I wasn’t giving her enough attention and affection during our elongated trip,” says frontman Robbie Kingsley. “It’s a realization that I was being neglectful and coming to grips with the fact that I always want to be able to wake up in her perfect world, therefore I should start finding the time and putting my energy towards her.”

Duckpond will be released October 23rd, a week before the band’s tour make s a New England stop October 30th at the Sinclair in Cambridge, MA.
