Loving Someone You Can’t Have Inspires Momma’s New Track “I Want You (Fever)”
Momma released Ohio All The Time, the first single from their new album, back in October. Now the New York quartet has offered up another new track; I Want You (Fever).
The song was written about a feeling of wanting what you can’t have. I Want You (Fever) is a song we wrote about wanting to be with someone who has a girlfriend, or someone who isn’t over their ex,” explains the band. “It’s pining after someone, but there’s also some confidence knowing that that person wants to be with you,” adding “The second we wrote that song we felt like we were entering a new era – we scrapped everything we had written for the album up to that point because it felt so fresh and so exciting.”
Momma’s new album Welcome To My Blue Sky will be released April 4th via Polyvinyl. The band is on tour this spring with a stop in Cambridge, MA on May 28th at The Sinclair.
