The Tempter Trap Announce Fourth Studio Album ‘Sungazer’

It was 2016 when The Temper Trap released the last album Thick as Thieves. Two years later the band parted ways temporaily to work on other projects. Now they’ve announced their first studio album in a decade with Sungazer and they’ve also shared a visualizer video for the title track.

To work on Sungazer the band worked across continents, sending demoes between each other and eventually meeting up in Melbourne for studio sessions.

“With time apart and much personal growth from us all, Sungazer feels like it’s captured the most pure collection of music we’ve ever made” says the band. “We had more fun making this record and in the writing room than on any of the previous records we’ve done. We’re in a great place creatively and in our friendships, we’re closer than ever. Being back into the studio together really felt like coming home.” 

The Temper Trap will spend July & August touring the US supporting Muse with a stop at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA July 18th.
