Snail Mail Shares “Dead End”, The First New Song From Forthcoming Album “Ricochet”
Snail Mail’s third album Ricochet won’t be released until March 27th (via Matador Records) but today she released the first taste; the new track Dead End.
The track is all about the loss of suburban adoloscence, of parking in a cul-de-sac and smoking with friends. To accompany the release, the video for Dead End (which was directed by Snail Mail and Elsie Richter) wasn’t without issues during the shoot. “We shot the video for ‘Dead End’ in random places all around rural North Carolina between the hours of 5pm and 4am on one of the coldest nights of my life.” says Snail Mail. “The goal was to be inconspicuous with the fireworks, but someone called the cops on us.”
Snail Mail will tour starting in April with a New England stop in Boston on April 17th at Big Night Live.
