Badflower Discovers The Letdown Of Success With New Single “Detroit”

You have a goal. It’s everything you aspire to be. But what happens when you reach that goal? In their new single Detroit, Badflower struggles with the feeling of emptiness once they reach that goal.

Written backstage before a show at Detroit’s Fillmore (hence the song title), Detroit is a love letter to the fans they made and met along the way to being a successful band.

“I think anyone who has achieved something that they always thought they wanted has felt the
disappointment in finally reaching that goal. It’s like, ‘I have it, now what do I do?’
” explains vocalist/guitars Josh Katz. “And then you realize how fun it was chasing the thing you wanted – it was
the journey that meant everything.”

Badlfower heads out on their No Place Like Home tour this fall with guests Slothrust and Missio. The tour stops in Boston September 15th at the Citizens House Of Blues.
