David Kushner Spends Time With His Younger Self In New Track “Hero”

Ahead of a big fall tour and performances at festivals like Boston Calling and Bonaroo, David Kushner has released the emotional video for his new single Hero.

“Hero is the story of acceptance towards the pain of your inner child” says Kushner. In the video, directed by Matthew Vietzke, Kushner awakes from a nightmare and revisits past trauma with a younger version of himself (played by Zio Kavarro). Together, they come to a sense of reckoning with the scars that shaped them both.
