The Black Keys Unveil 13th Album “No Rain, No Flowers” Out August 8th. Hear The Title Track.

The Black Keys released their last album, Ohio Players, just over a year ago and now they’ve announced their 13th studio album No Rain, No Flowers will be released August 8th via Easy Eye Sound/Warner Records. To celebrate, the duo shared the title track.

While Ohio Players included collaborations with artists like Beck and Noel Gallagher, Dan Auberbach and Patrick Carney took a different approach with No Rain, No Flowers, choosing to work more closely with long-admired songwriters than with performers. The new album features collaborators including GRAMMY award-winning songwriters Rick Nowels and Daniel Tashian as well as legendary keys player/producer Scott Storch (Dr. Dre, The Roots).

“I had worked with Rick Nowels on Lana Del Rey’s Ultraviolence.” says Auerbach. “We’d never really collaborated with a keyboard player or someone who writes on piano the way he does, but it clicked immediately.”

Patrick Carney adds, “We wanted to go straight to the source—into the room with people known for their songwriting. Daniel Tashian was one of the first people I met after moving to Nashville, and we’ve been fans of Scott Storch forever.”

The Black Keys will tour all summer into the fall with a stop in New England in Gilford, NH August 15th and Boston on August 16th.
