Hotel Mira Celebrates Release Of New Album “Pity Party”

NYC quartet Hotel Mira released their new album Pity Party today via Light Organ Records. The album title isn’t about just feeling sad for yourself. Instead, it’s about the extremes of emotions; from depression and self pity to full on party.

Talking about the meaning of first single;Made For This, vocalist Charlie Kerr says the song “is the autopsy of a break-up. The memories we gather and sift through and unravel why something didn’t work and why we were right like some shitty vindictive detective. The truth is that no one was right or wrong; no victim, no perpetrator. Most of the time relationships end because people are just incompatible. This was based off an ancient Hotel Mira demo where I almost guarantee I was trying to do a Jack White thing with those riffs. When we were recording I annoyingly reminded my bandmates the importance of ‘swagger.’”

The band is currently on tour with Rare Americans and will make a stop in Boston at the Sinclair on March 22nd. Get more information at hotelmiramusic.com
