Olivia Rodrigo Offers Up New Video For “Brutal”
It feels like 2021 is the year where it’s less about “do you like Olivia Rodrigo?” and more about “which of Olivia Rodrigo’s songs do you like the most?”. Personally, we here at Bangor’s Alternative are partial to the chunky-guitar-filled angst of Brutal and today Rodrigo released a new music video for the track off her album Sour.
The vid, directed by Petra Collins, has the artist breaking under the stress of being perfect on social media and in person, with cartoon tears as her handlers try and try again to make her perfect.
The video was posted on YouTube with the hashtag #madeonipad, which conveniently coincides with an ad for the Apple tablet that shows the making of the video.
Earlier in the year, Rodrigo held a livestreamed “Sour Prom” show where she performed Brutal live.
