DE’WAYNE Welcomes Lenny Kravitz On New Version Of “Highway Robbery”

DE’WAYNE’s newest single finds the Houston, TX artist teaming up with Lenny Kravitz on a new version of Highway Robbery from his 2025 album JUNE. “The title of “highway robbery” was inspired by a heartfelt connection with the character “JUNE” who the album is based around” says DE’WAYNE. “In the song, I wanted to depict our dramatic love story, through the sounds of rock-n-roll!

As for how Kravitz got involved, DE’WAYNE adds “Lenny Kravitz heard the original and that’s how our friendship came to be. I was blown away that he said it had a timeless feel so this felt like the perfect song to bring us together. I always believed Lenny Kravitz should be on this song. For my fans this is a huge turning point, because everyone has heard me speak on the inspiration Lenny Kravitz has been in my career and to have him on the remix means everything to me. Truly is a dream come true.“

DE’WAYNE will kick off the 2026 season at the Maine Savings Amphitheater as he opens up for Wiz Khalifa and Machine Gun Kelly June 5th in Bangor.
