Show Me The Body Explode With New Track “Dance In The USA”

NYC Post-Hardcore band Show Me The Body, one of the acts that make up the CORPUS collective, has released their new track Dance In The USA. The trio of Julian Cashwan Pratt (vocals, banjo), Harlan Steed (bass), and Nijol Benjamin (drums) also shared the accompanying video with the band performing and others dancing while cameras whip around a darkened room.

Cashwan Pratt describes this song as both literal and subversive. The dance in mention represents the struggle of living in the United States. Lyrics talk about being “a doll upon a string,” and then becoming the puppeteer by saying “dance for me”. Through the dance people discover style becomes a way to stay alive. “it’s a fool’s game, but I ain’t want to lose” reflects recognizing the system while continuing to live inside it.
