Lime Garden Had It And Then Lost It With New Single “23”

Listeners of Bangor’s Alternative have have already heard the title track from Lime Garden’s new album Maybe Not Tonight which comes out April 10 on So Young Records. Now the four piece from Brighton has shared the new single 23. From the start, the song bemoans grabbing the brass ring only to let it slip (At seventeen i had the world in my hands and then twenty three I lost it).

“‘23’ the concept was born from a dream I had where I was talking to my younger self.” says vocalist and guitarist Chloe Howard. “In the dream I was essentially ripping into my own personality and lack of success. ‘23’ the song was born on a rainy January afternoon, a Happy Mondays–inspired jam paved the way for the main bassline.”
