Stephen Wilson Enters His Gary Era With New Single “Gary”

Stephen Wilson Jr. wowed fans (and made some new ones) when he opened for HARDY at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor this past August. Now he’s announced a new tour and shared the new single Gary.

Talking about the song’s namesake, Wilson says “Our Garys are going extinct, much like the polar gare. I believe we need to save them. It’s gonna be a Gary, scary world without them. Where I come from, the Garys get it done. And when your septic tank blows, I do not believe AI will show, but I believe a guy will….and there’s a good chance his name’s gonna be Gary.”

The new single follows Wilson’s Blankets EP, which included covers of songs by Nirvana, Temple of the Dog, The Postal Service and The Smashing Pumpkins. The Gary The Torch Tour begins March 6 in Columbus, OH and includes stops in Toronto, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Chicago, and a New England stop in Boston March 18th at Citizens House of Blues.
