Franz Ferdinand Wants You To Be Audacious With First Single From Upcoming New Album The Human Fear

Franz Ferdinand has announced their sixth studio album, The Human Fear, will be released January 10th via Domino. To celebrate the announcement, they’ve also shared the first single. Audacious starts with an upbeat, fuzzed-out guitar riff before the song shifts into a Sgt. Peppers-era Beatles style chorus with the lyric “But don’t stop feeling audacious, there’s no one to save us. So just carry on

The video for the track has the band leaving the stage sweaty following a performance to a big party in their dressing room complete with karaoke, playing Rock Band, and….Santa?

The Human Fear, which was recorded at AYR studios in Scotland, features 11-songs that all allude to some deep-set human fears and how overcoming and accepting these fears drives and defines our lives.

Making this record was one of the most life-affirming experiences I’ve had, but it’s called The Human Fear. ” says vocalist Alex Karpanos. “Fear reminds you that you’re alive. I think we all are addicted in some way to the buzz it can give us. How we respond to it shows how we are human. So here’s a bunch of songs searching for the thrill of being human via fears. Not that you’d necessarily notice on first listen.
