First Trailer for Emma Stone’s ‘Cruella’ Gives a Dark Turn on an Already Dark Disney Villain
Disney’s Cruella DeVille isn’t a new villain, making her first appearance in Walt Disney’s 1961 film 101 Dalmatians, but with the new prequel Cruella, Emma Stone is set to give a dark backstory to an already dark character.
Over a background of the Connie Francis hit Who’s Sorry Now (which takes on an eerie tone in this context), we see a young Cruella with red hair before going full-villain and donning her signature duo-chromatic hairstyle.
In an age of reboots, sequel, and prequels, Cruella looks like it might just be worth the time. Cruella will be released May 28th.
