Bill & Ted Face the Music Soundtrack to Include Weezer, Mastodon, Cold War Kids, & More

Nostalgia mining has been heavy over the past year. It seems like everything is either coming back or getting a reboot. Much of the “i remember when” ends up being better left in the past. All that being said, we sincerely believe that the exception to that rule is the long-awaited third movie in the Bill & Ted series; Bill & Ted Face The Music.

For kids of the 80s that might of grown up on the original’s 1989 soundtrack, you can expect just as much most excellent rock and roll on the 3rd installment’s soundtrack. The track listing has been revealed to include Cold War Kids, Mastodon (with the intriguing title Rufus Lives), and FIDLAR. The soundtrack also includes a special Wyld Stallyns edit of Beginning of the End. Although you might not think Rivers Cuomo and the gang fits with the 80s shred mentality of Bill & Ted, remember…the new Weezer album Van Weezer has tons of 80s tones and inspirations.

The third outing for William “Bill” S. Preston Esquire and Ted “Theodore” Logan, and the accompanying soundtrack, will be released August 28th.
