Metallica Premiers ‘All Within My Hands’ From Upcoming S&M2
It was September of 2019 when Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony opened the new Chase Center for another round of performances (they first paired up in 1999 for the Grammy award-winning album S&M). Over two nights they once again performed symphonic renditions of songs form the band’s back catalog.
Coming August 28th the band will officially release S&M2 as a double album and today they premiered the video for “All Within My Hands” (which originally appeared on 2003’s St. Anger).
The new collection includes more than two and a half hours of music with the band (James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, & Robert Trujillo) performing alongside the 80-piece symphony under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas and Conductor Edwin Outwater.
Formats of the release include box sets (both limited edition and Metallica.com editions), and 2 different vinyl releases, as well as CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, & digital formats.
