Matt and Kim Cover ‘You Don’t Own’ Me For International Women’s Day
Matt and Kim have always held a special place in our heart. Long before they headlined the first KahBang Music & Arts Festival, we’ve loved their music and todayin celebration of International Women’s Day they’ve released a cover of the Lesley Gore hit You Don’t Own Me.
In a post to their social media the duo says “Happy International Women’s Day! We decided it was a great day to put out this cover we made over quarantine of Kim singing Leslie Gore’s incredible anthem “You Don’t Own Me” from 1963. We’re not the first and won’t be the last to cover this song but it’s message can’t be said enough.“
