Watch: Princess Rat Bug – Banned From Tinder

A Maine artist with a hard-to-describe style has hit YouTube with a new video. Princess Rat Bug has released a new video for Banned From Tinder, which was directed by Jordan Stowell and shot in and around the Maine Mall.

Princess Rat Bug is a 19 year old garage-meets-cyberpunk-meets-tween-singer-songwriter from Cape Elizabeth. She recently graduated from Southern Maine Community College and released her debut album, “Bug Time” on January 31st. Nicknamed “princess of darkness” by her 5th grade teacher, Princess Rat Bug thrives off of the clashing of sweet and scary, and is influenced by artists such as Grouper, Death Grips, Grimes, and Weatherday.

“Banned From Tinder” tells the heart-wrenching tale of Princess Rat Bug’s three Tinder bans over the last year. She was given no reason for her bands. It is the lead single from Princess Rat Bug’s debut album “Bug Time.” The song is a collaboration between Princess Rat Bug and Maine musician Stephen Bennett
