Two Members of Local Act Wait Form New Duo Dog Talk

The band Wait has been a local favorite of WHSN’s for a while now and now two of their members have started a new musical project under the moniker Dog Talk. Travis Davis takes the role of vocals, guitar, & bass while Wait bassist Justin Kovacs moves to drums in Dog Talk. They’ve released their debut, an EP titled Slippery Slope.

A lot of it was sparked from the abundance of Rock n Roll/straight up feel-good music we were listening to towards the middle/end of 2018” say Davis. “Justin and I are roommates, so there was a good month or two where we’d come home from work and every night be listening to stuff like Twin Peaks…(lots and lots of Twin Peaks) Kurt Vile , CCR , The Rolling Stones etc . Through that time span, we grew a large amount of interest in creating music with that sort of feeling.  As the winter started, I began writing some songs on acoustic and Justin wrote drum parts to go along.

Although the new musical project has no immediate plans for live shows that would include a full band they also haven’t ruled out the possibility.
